TUMI adds polycarbonate to its 19 degree carry-on line

Luxury travel brand TUMI is diversifying its 19 degree carry-on baggage by using recycled polycarbonate instead of aluminum. This is to make sure that your luggage does not exceed what you are packing.

The use of 90% recycled polycarbonate for the shell allows for a lightweight and flexible construction, while being durable and impact resistant. The change complements the sleek aesthetic of the design, with its flowing angular lines and smooth finish. Likewise, the shell, exterior zippers and grab handles feature antimicrobial treatment. For added protection, the inner liner features a PROTX2 antimicrobial coating to prevent the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew that could lead to a fabric odor on the surface.

In addition, TUMI’s 19 degree hand luggage, like the brand’s Continental and Worldwide hand luggage, offers modern comfort for a jet set. These include a built-in USB port for on-the-go charging and a built-in TSA lock. It is also easy and comfortable to maneuver thanks to its 3-level telescopic handle and four silent recessed double swivel wheels. It is also compact at 21.75 ″ H x 14 ″ W x 9 ″ D, expandable to 11 ″ and weighs 7.84 lbs. Likewise, it features retractable top and side carry handles for carrying versatility.

In terms of organization, this travel essential offers 38 liters of storage. It has a double compartment zip pocket on one side and compression straps on the other. Both storage solutions give you the freedom to pack items according to their destination so you can find them easily. There’s even a small zippered pocket to store smaller items like card holders, coins, and headphones. TUMI’s 19 degree hand luggage is available in Iron, Black and Berry colors.
