Starbucks Hong Kong and OmniFoods have joined forces to launch a party food. The two companies are launching the Omni Golden Fillet Ciabatta sandwich for their fourth collaborative project.
According to Green queen, the new sandwich for the new year is coming out after the success of their previous food outing in November of last year. Around this time, Starbucks Hong Kong and OmniFoods launched the Thai Style Crab Cake Salad.
It has been noted that Starbucks has been using OmniFoods products for its stores in the Philippines and mainland China since 2020. Now the two are simply consolidating their partnership in Hong Kong as this is already their fourth team for a new food release.
Their November food, which is Thai-Style Crab Cake Salad, was released by Starbucks Hong Kong as one of its plant-based menu options. The salad consists of the Omni Crab Cake and a special dressing. Fish sauce is also part of the ingredient, but strict vegans may ask to remove it.
In any case, the arrival of the Omni Golden Fillet Ciabatta Sandwich has just broadened Starbucks Hong Kong’s alternative vegan food offering. This seafood sandwich is made with a perfectly fried vegetable fish fillet with its golden coating.
It is served with a salad and is offered to customers as part of Starbucks’ Chinese New Year festive menu. The sandwich is promoted with the slogan “New Year. New Era!”
“So excited about this landmark collaboration with Starbucks Hong Kong with the launch of Omni Golden Fillet, enabling everyone to adopt a healthy and sustainable lifestyle with an OMNI impact!” OmniFoods founder and CEO David Yeung said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the Omni Golden Fillet Ciabatta Sandwich will sell for 54 HKD or around $ 7 in US dollars. Customers can get it at any of the 170 Starbucks outlets in Hong Kong. The release is also part of the annual Vegan when plant-based foods are offered in fast food outlets and restaurants to encourage people to opt for âmeatlessâ options.
