SNOW AT THE EXIT, STRONG WINDS SUNDAY

0

Saturday’s mower system produced a few inches of snow but it’s on the way out. We will be between systems on Sunday with another mower and light snow producer, in service for Monday.

A few persistent flurries are possible over the northern part of the region this evening. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies and seasonal lows in the mid-20s. Winds will be fairly light at first but will build up late this evening. Keep an eye out for slippery places.

Sunday promises to be rather busy. Some gusts could sometimes reach 30 mph before the wind eases in the late afternoon. The low peaks in the mid-1930s are probably under a mixture of cloud and sun. Dress in layers if you are going to attend the Packers game in Green Bay.

Our next meteorologist will arrive from the west on Monday morning. A band of light snow is expected to move west to east during the day. Early projections suggest that a coating of up to 1 to 2 inches could fall off with this event. Overall it will be more of a nuisance, but watch out for slippery spots on area roads.

There will be a small trend towards moderation for the middle of the week. Temperatures rise into the upper 30s on Tuesday with some possible lower 40s on Wednesday and Thursday. Rain showers could also pass through the region.

More light snow may fall on Friday and we will have to watch for a potential system for next weekend. Long story short, we currently have an active storm track and a disturbance is possible roughly every other day.
