The Jack in the Box fast food chain is bringing back some fan-favorite menu items, but you might need to act fast.
In an April 4 tweet, the channel announced the return of the much-loved popcorn chicken.
“POPCORN CHICKEN IS BACK PLEASE STOP MESSAGING ME – peace & love from the social media manager,” read the tweet from Jack in the Box.
“Bullying worked,” tweeted one Popcorn Chicken fan.
“Smh you wouldn’t disappoint,” replied Jack in the Box.
The chain introduced the special menu item in 2020 during the pandemic.
Additionally, the company announced the return of Sauced and Loaded Fries, including a spicy version that features spicy ranch and jalapeños.
Additionally, residents of the Bakersfield, CA area will be treated to another limited-time menu option: Loaded Tater Scoops.
The balls will come in two varieties, Cheddar Ranch and Spicy Habanero Ranch, according to brandeating.com.
Fan reaction varied, with some wondering if there was more to the announcement.
“Do you have any spicy ones?! Please tell me you have any spicy ones!!!!” one excited fan tweeted.
While Jack in the Box offers a handful of new menu items, another fast-food chain is reintroducing its spicy nuggets.
McDonald’s has brought back its fan-favorite menu item, Spicy Chicken Nuggets, for a limited time and only in select locations.
With approximately 13,500 McDonald’s nationwide, the item will only be available at 6,900 participating locations.
According to McDonald’s, the nuggets are “breaded in a crispy coating, flavorfully spiced with a blend of aged cayenne and chili, they’re sure to grab your attention.”
Meanwhile, Jack in the Box fans are hoping for more menu items to return.
“Stop messing with my emotions and bring back the spicy chicken strips. These popcorn chicken bites are just a tease,” someone replied.
“Still waiting for the Hot Apple Turnover,” another fan tweeted in response to the news.
