Your next spring cleaning!

You may have already started your spring cleaning. In fact, some of you may think that you have already completed. I know, I know, it never ends! Well, I’m here to tell you that your safe might also need cleaning. Yes, in addition to things like your home and car, your gun safe also deserves to be clean and shiny this spring!

So what’s the best way to spruce up your safe? Keep reading to find out more!

Cleaning services

Cleaning isn’t always fun. Luckily for you, DCF Guns offers cleaning in its stores! This should at least take a little advantage. Not only does it look better to have a clean collection, but it also ensures that things will work properly and safely. The service takes about a week, and it will be worth it. In addition to cleaning, they will inspect your gun and alert you to any potential issues that require your attention. You can rest assured that by going to these professionals, your guns will be expertly taken care of.

cerakoting

Cerakoting is another service that helps improve both the aesthetics and performance of your guns. It can help with things like resistance to abrasions, corrosion, and chemicals. At the same time, it improves impact resistance and hardness. Cerakote is a polymer-ceramic composite coating, which can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. At DCF Guns you can choose from a wide range of Cerakote finish colors. You even have the option of adding a camouflage pattern! Customization and improved performance make cerakoting a perfect addition to your spring cleaning! DCF Guns is a certified applicator, so you know, as always, that you will be well taken care of.

Dotted

Looking to improve your grip? The dotted line will help you with this! Stippling essentially creates thousands of tiny, precise holes in the polymer frame of the gun. This is especially useful when dealing with things like sweat, blood, solvents and weather conditions. We know these things are sometimes unavoidable, so it’s best to be prepared. Stippling is also a great way to help with accuracy and recoil management. At DCF Guns you can even get custom stippling!

Clean the safe itself

So you took care of your guns. What about where you store them? While your weapons are in the store, take the time to clear the safe. This should be easy since you’ve had all your firearms work done by experts. To clean your safe, you will need to make sure you have a new microfiber cloth. You want to be sure to use something that won’t scratch the finish. In addition to the cloth, you will need water, a mild detergent and a handheld vacuum. You can also use a soft brush in hard to reach areas. Vacuum first, then wipe with the microfiber cloth. Go over the gap again with another cloth, soaked in water and cleaner. Let it dry and go over it again with the vacuum cleaner. You’ll want to do this process both inside and outside your safe, but be sure to avoid moisture around electronics. When cleaning the safe, be sure to clean the surrounding areas as well.

If you’re the proud owner of a gun collection, or even if you only own one gun, you probably want to keep it in pristine condition. That’s why it’s a great idea, even necessary, to keep up with routine cleaning and maintenance. It’s even better when these services are offered to you! Some membership levels with DCF Guns even offer discounts on these services.

If you haven’t cleaned your safe yet, what are you waiting for? Happy spring cleaning!
